NSW: Sydney to Hobart yacht crew rescued by police.

SYDNEY, Dec 27 AAP - The crew from a damaged yacht in this year's Sydney to Hobart
yacht race are back on dry land after being rescued on the south coast.

The 16m yacht, Georgia, issued a mayday call just before 10pm (AEDT) on Friday.

It was located about 45 nautical miles east of Ulladulla by other race yachts after
losing its rudder.

There were no reported injuries and the 14-member crew were taken by police to Bateman's
Bay for medical treatment.
